Warren County Historical Society
Event Coordinator Mandy Slagle

Mandy Slagle was raised in Akeley, PA, where her love of nature and down-to-earth personality grew.
During her time at Eisenhower High School, she developed an appreciation for journalism and design from working on
The Squire newspaper. This inspired her to pursue graphic design at PennWest Edinboro, after graduating from Eisenhower in 2005.
Following Mandy’s graduation from Edinboro, she took a few years to adventure across the country before realizing home
is where the heart is and returned to Warren County to start a family. Mandy now lives on her family homestead,
as a third-generation owner, and is grateful to give her kids the experience of country living.
“Hula Hoop lady” is another name she is known by in the community, a hat she proudly wears as
she loves bringing joy, movement and play to kids and kids at heart alike in our community.
She works part-time as a hoop teacher, balloon twister and substitute teacher.
She loves jobs that give her the opportunity to work in the community, help make others smile,
feel valued and show younger people it is important to follow your dreams.
Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful humans
on earth, for what they believe is what they will become. ~Brooke Hampton

Mandy hopes to positively influence the kids in the community to be filled with beauty,
kindness and wisdom for the future of Warren County.
